LedgerLink File is Read Only
Occasionally people discover that the files they download from Geist Interactive do not seem to be modifiable. When this occurs it is almost always on Windows. Here is the reason why that can happen.
Opening the File from within the Zip Archive
Windows allows you to open and explore zipped archive. You can even open files inside that archive without extracting it first. But you won't be able to edit them. Extract the files first, then open them, and everything will be fine.
Read Only File Property
Sometimes, for unknown reasons, files on windows can get set to "read only" or encrypted. When this happens you'll notice the name of the file is usually green. Open the file properties panel, and uncheck "read-only" or "encrypted."
